About the Event

This virtual book talk brings authors Tok Thompson and Daniel Wojcik in conversation with an audience about the goals of their most recent project: crafting a book exploring folklore in a global (rather than national, or regional, or local) view. They examine various forms of expressive culture, from rituals and  festivals to the material art to the verbal, music, and kinesthetic, and all the various ways in which which humans express and communicate their lives. The hope is that this approach can help people, cultures, and undergraduate students to better understand each other, themselves, and various cultures throughout the world.

The event will take place on Wednesday, September 2nd from 3:00PM to 4:30PM Pacific Time via Zoom.
